Henri Dès

I only know Henri Dès because I happened to marry a French person who listened to him as a kid. He was prolific, and both our kids love his music. (At one point, we had an album as an iphone shortcut, because playing it so reliably calmed the 5yo down in the car.) It is thoroughly non-insufferable kid’s music. Because you need a place to start, try Vol. 6: Le Beau Tambour (1986).
