I'm sure I'm in good company recommending this. The equivalent of audiobooks and podcasts for kids. My son could fully operate it at 4. (Get the protector case thingy--your kid will probably drop it a lot.) (I ended up getting a card case too, which helps keep them from getting lost/is good when we travel.) (The cards come in multiple languages, which is great for multilingual families. You can also record your own content.)
